Bausch and Lomb The Discover 15x-60x 60mm (Spotting) Telescope in Original Case A1. Top quality and versatile Japanese made zoom telescope - Excellent example of this scope and always surprising at just how good these are.

This comes with the original padded hard case fine to use. Works perfectly as a birder spotting scope or a grab and go/travel Astronomy scope. It's compact at 450mm and weighs 1300 so can easily fit on light camera tripods. Works really well with a light fluid head or a ball head.

The mounting base has two 1/4-20 standard photo threads for mounting. A quick release plate can be fitted. Eye Relief is an excellent 15mm and the metal wind out eyecup works well and wound in allows for glasses use make sure to wind this back in if you want to use the eyepiece cover. Mechanically the scope is really top notch with all components even the adjuster rings made from quality metal and gloss black anodised. The cream coat is a non slip quality powder coat.

The scope is essentially the same underneath as the Bushnell Version with the same superb optics. A full user manual can be found on the Bushnell website. The views are incredibly impressive - exceptionally clear and bright with excellent colour and contrast. Works great for both daytime for general use and for birding, and at night for astronomy with pin sharp focus right across the zoom range. The views of planets and lunar are superb at 60x and with pin-sharp focus, which is incredible impressive for an all in one zoom telescope.

The optics are really outstanding. At 15x the field of view is a wide 3 degrees making finding targets easy and wide enough to nicely frame the Pleiades. Comes with the original optional protective hard brown leather case which is lovely to look at (no strap). Great Visual Scope and also designed for use with Cameras as a telephoto lens. The scope eyepiece end has a 48mm thread, and had an optional extender to attach a Camera Adapter (not included).
